Modern protection of distributed energy resources
Bučko, Ondrej ; Kopička, Marek (referee) ; Topolánek, David (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to describe distributed energy resources (DER) protection system’s main problems and to suggests their possible solutions. The second part is focused on collecting information and description of the new functional principles of protection devices used for protecting distribution network against backwards influences from the DER. The purpose of the thesis is the description of functional principles of the protection devices that are not commonly used in the distribution networks of the Czech Republic. In addition, the schemes of functional blocks of the protection devices that help to configure or project them are also part of this thesis.
Analysis of Frequency Measurement and RoCoF in Simulation Programs
Koudelka, Jan ; Máslo, Karel (referee) ; Orságová, Jaroslava (advisor)
The thesis deals with the issue of measurement of frequency and its derivative (RoCoF) in simulation software. The aim of the thesis was to compare results obtained in three different pieces of software (PSS/E, PSCAD, MODES). 2 disturbances were simulated in a grid model IEEE 39 bus system and values of frequency and generator speed were assessed. The results obtained in different software are diverse. This is influenced by method of modelling of synchronous generator and algorithm of calculation of frequency. Findings are important for future investigation of power system transients in simulation software and also point to potencial incorrect assassement of frequency in protective relays.
Methodology and data evaluation of conformance tests of A1 and A2 power generating modules
Bláha, Michal ; Drápela, Jiří (referee) ; Morávek, Jan (advisor)
The introductory part of the diploma thesis contains basic knowledge of the issue of Power Generating Module (particularly local) and a description of individual categories according to the EU Commission Regulation 2016/631, which are connected to the electricity system in the Czechia. In connection with this classification and the assignment of this work, the individual rules for connecting and operating Power Generating Module of categories A1 and A2 are further described. The work also deals with verifying the compliance and conformity of production modules with applicable legislation. The principles of verification of production units follow the newly proposed standard EN 50 549-10. The benefit of the work lies mainly in the preparation for the creation of a certified workplace, which will deal with custom measurement of production units. This preparation is based not only on the created test manual, but on two other important parts, such as the creation of evaluation scripts and the output protocol. The scripts will be used to process the measured data for individual tests and will provide a suitable graphical output of the unit, which will be placed in the output protocol. This protocol will thus be a comprehensive official measurement output of the tested unit.
